Abstract
Abstract
The occurrence of sudden floods in the Kajo River, located in the south of Sistan and Baluchistan Province, causes a lot of financial and human losses, especially in the area of the Dashtyari Plain, which is the final stretch and the place where it joins the great Bahukalat River. The analysis of satellite images related to the flood time shows that in the area of the Dashtyari plain, the flood flow of the Kajo river has a hydraulic exchange with the nearby rivers, and considering the extent of the flood plain and the uncertainty of the flow distribution pattern in the area of the plain, it is possible to achieve a suitable flood control plan with The use of one-dimensional hydraulic models practically does not exist.
In this article, the results of the hydrodynamic modeling of floods in the rivers overlooking the Dashtyari plain, especially the kajo River, have been presented by the 1D-2D MIKE FLOOD model for a flood with a return period of 25 years, and a suitable plan for flood treatment and damage reduction in the region has been proposed.
